Job Description

We have an opening for a Forklift Operator on the 1st shift from 7am-3pm, Monday to Friday, offering $18/hr. You may need to arrive 15 minutes before your shift if assigned to the press department. This role is critical to the production process, ensuring machine operators have the parts they need to operate efficiently. You will be responsible for moving boxes and pallets to operators, maintaining a high level of multitasking, and operating stand-up and sit-down tow motors in tight spaces. Proactivity and attention to detail are essential, as you will be constantly on the move, removing finished pallets and staging them appropriately. The position involves driving a forklift 90% of the day and lifting up to 50 lbs.

This is a fully on-site position in Solon, Ohio.

Work Environment

This role is based in a machine shop environment, not a warehouse or distribution setting. The efficiency of the forklift driver directly impacts the production of machine operators, making this the most stressful position in the plant. The facility primarily focuses on stamping fasteners for the steel industry.
