Food Distribution Program Director

Position Summary
Responsible for operations and administration of the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR). Directs, communicates, plans, coordinates all areas. Knowledge of budgeting for USDA Grant is a must.

Essential Duties
Works with USDA on plans, revisions and budget proposals. Prepares monthly reports. Develops materials and promotional activities to maintain and or to increase participation on the service Pueblos.
Supervises and provides positive communication and direction to program staff as needed. Holds weekly meetings with staff for updates and concerns. Provides training and technical assistance on an on-going basis to Warehouse Manager regarding monthly Activity Reports. Works with New Mexico and Oklahoma FDPIR (South Region).
Attends all administrative and Governing Board meetings as required.

Experience
Minimum of five years work experience in a supervisory capacity in a food distribution or a Federally funded program can be applied in lieu of education background.
