job summary:
A Quality Engineer is needed for a world leader in medical devices that seeks to offer innovative solutions in neurosurgery, and reconstructive and general surgery in the Mansfield, MA area. The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring product and process quality through compliance with EUMDR standards, leading quality improvement initiatives, managing risk and validation processes, and mentoring other engineers.

responsibilities:
Assess supplier validations and documentation for EUMDR requirements.
Perform required remediation activities related to process validation.
Support quality improvement initiatives, including process and product characterizations.
Conduct benchmarking to enhance quality improvement methods.
Collect data and perform various analytical/statistical analyses for process improvements.
Manage material identification, segregation, and defect classification in manufacturing.
Analyze and review the effectiveness of preventive and corrective actions.
Skills:
Compliance with FDA and ISO standards.
Validation of processes and software.
Risk Management techniques.
Technical understanding of manufacturing processes.
Statistical Analysis and interpretation.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree required with 7 years of relevant experience.
Masters with 5 years of experience.
Doctoral degree preferred with 3 years of experience.
Experience in manufacturing/operations with in-depth knowledge of product/process risk management.
