Posting Summary
As a member of the Department Customer Support team, provide staff support in the main office of the Department of Residential Life located in Robinson Hall. Serve as one of two primary staff members at the department customer service desk. Hire and supervise student staff members. Provide support for departmental housing processes and enhance the understanding of the residential experience at UVM . Receive supervision from the Assistant Director for Operational Excellence. Advance the Divisional and the Department commitment to diversity and social justice by fostering an inclusive culture of student learning, personal growth, community involvement, and programming in order to develop a socially just and safe community of global citizens.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Associates degree in Business Administration or related field and one to three years of related experience to include general knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office (word processing, spreadsheets, and databases), and Internet applications (email, WWW ) required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and prioritize competing demands required. Effective customer service skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external students and customers of diverse backgrounds required. Ability to demonstrate a commitment to diversity, social justice, and fostering a collaborative multicultural environment required.
Desirable Qualifications
Anticipated Pay Range $21.50 – $23.50/hour

Special Conditions External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Non-standard work hours required, Bargaining unit position, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Background Check required for this position
