Posting Summary

Coordinate research activities under the supervision of the Director of Emergency Medicine Research and the Vice Chair of Research. Collaborate in clinical study design and execution, recruitment of new grants/clinical studies, budget reporting, preparation of Institutional Review Board Submissions, and supervise research technicians and students on aspects of patient/subject involvement in the Emergency Department setting. Perform data collection, analysis and presentation, oversight of data and sample collection and processing, including performing phlebotomy per site policy and processing specimens (centrifuge, aliquot) and maintaining local repository of samples.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree in related field and three to four years’ related experience required. Experience with RedCap, Microsoft Office (Excel), SPSS , STATA as well as with clinical studies, budget reporting, IRB submissions, and data collection, analysis and presentations.

Desirable Qualifications

Specialized EMT licensure approved certification and/or licensure desired.

Anticipated Pay Range 51,000 – 57,000

This position is funded through August 30, 2025.

Special Conditions Non-standard work hours required, Bargaining unit position, Contingent on continued funding, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
