Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU

Under general supervision, demonstrates the ability to handle nursing problems and, in general, an expanded group of nursing practices. Performs nursing intervention across a variety of nursing situations. Identifies patient problems prior to explicit changes in patient-specific data collection (such as vital signs).

Education Requirement:

  • Required Education: ASN Required.

  • Preferred Education: BSN Preferred.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

  • BLS-AHA

  • CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours

  • ACLS-AHA

  • NIHSS

  • NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Two years of RN experience in the ICU and demonstrated level of performance and practice is required.

  • Must have ICU experience at the bedside within the past six months.

  • Willingness to be flexible for different hours.

  • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Schedule Notes: 13 week assignment 7P-7:30A 3×12

  • Every other weekend & Holiday required
  • No on-call.
  • May float to Tele.
