Social Media Specialist (Temp Position); November 18- approx. May 15, 2025; M-F 8.30am-5pm

Responsibilities:

Shoot, edit, and publish posts on flagship social media accounts based on instructions from the Sr. Manager.

Monitor and engage with the online community, responding to comments and messages in a timely manner.

Collaborate with students and design team to produce content that aligns with the brands voice and goals.

Maintain an organized asset library with commonly requested content, such as photos of our mascot and evergreen videos for use as Instagram story backgrounds, accessible to the team and campus partners.

Assist the Sr. Manager in developing and implementing plans for major events and initiatives, including creating toolkits for campus partners, preparing shot lists for events, and coordinating schedules with professional staff and students.

Conduct research on social media trends and audience preferences to inform content approach.

Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns, including paid promotions and ongoing series.

Update project management platform (Monday.com) with progress.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Minimum of two years of experience in social media management and content creation.

Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, LinkedIn) and analytics tools.

Strong photography and video editing skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with Monday.com a plus.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a team members base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).

The salary range for this position is $25-$25/hour
