10 month position

HOURS : Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

SALARY : $16.75 Per Hour, Funded through the UPK Grant

Internal applications will be prorated based on time served.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assist students transition throughout the building.

Assist with monitoring student reading instruction.

Meet with students at the foyer before and after school at Cayuga.

Monitoring students for toileting needs.

Assist classroom teacher with additional tasks as requested.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to establish good relationships and get along with children, maintain order and ensure that school regulations are followed.

Ability to get along with teachers, administrators and staff.

Good power of observation and dependability.

Prior experience caring for students with disabilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma; OR

Four (4) years experience in the care and supervision of children; OR

An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (1) and (2).
