If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Engineer – eVinci Mechanical Systems and Equipment.

This position is hybrid in nature requiring at least 2-3 days/week on-site at the 51 Bridge Street eVinci Accelerator facility in Etna, PA, and the other days telecommuting. No relocation will be provided for this position.

Your Day-to-Day:

Supports and/or oversees the design, development, implementation, and analysis of highly complex technical products, processes, components, equipment, and systems.
Lead and coordinate design efforts for a mechanical system or component areas for eVinci microreactors.
Work is both independent and collaborative, and of a highly complex nature, requiring extensive technical experience and capabilities.
Perform system design planning, including system design; design review preparation; and interfaces with other systems, testing, components, licensing, and others for eVinci designs.
Work with Manager to resource the eVinci systems and equipment work in your areas of responsibility, identifying resource, technical, and schedule gaps and supporting schedule development.
Lead technical teams, providing oversight while delegating work and mentoring team members.
Interface with Lead Engineers and Manager on your systems design progress, technical issues, cost and schedule.
Identify and define technical issues, risks and challenges related to your areas of responsibility and support the resolution of technical issues that impact multiple stakeholders. This involves utilizing decision tools and balancing the overall product needs to resolve the technical issue.
Interface and collaborate with other personnel regarding your areas of responsibility.
Work independently – not only mentor engineers but also effectively lead a team of engineers in the execution of complex tasks.

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
BS in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering
General knowledge of engineering procedure
Supports the resolution of complex problems
Recognized as an experienced engineer in one or more technical competencies.
Is able to effectively communicate, understand, and drive cost efficient, high quality technical solutions with cognizance of project budgets.
Knowledge and experience in systems and/or component design, development, and analysis, including fluid systems and/or solid-state machines and interfaces with instrumentation and control
Knowledge and experience in primary and secondary side power plant systems, especially heat exchangers, is ideal.
Experience in a technical leadership role with aspects of design, modeling, and analysis and with the ability to manage technical teams in challenging situations with complex tasks
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Strong teamwork skills
Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks
P.E. Certification in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering or willingness to obtain one
Ability/willingness to travel domestically and internationally on occasion

Due to export control restrictions/requirements, the position is limited to either US persons, Canadian citizens, or Spanish citizens.

This position is Pittsburgh-based, in our 51 Bridge Street eVinci Accelerator facility
