We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Sr. Engineer I – Manufacturing Operations supporting Surgical Manufacturing Engineering, you will be in a very hands-on and manufacturing support centric role at Sinking Spring, PA.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Will be responsible for supporting the following machinery and equipment systems:
Automation Control Systems (PLCs, motor drives, robotics, sensors, etc.)
Electrical/Electronic Systems
Electromechanical Systems
Vision Systems
Robotic Systems
Tooling Systems

Process Types Supported
Automated Micro-Assembly Processes
Electrochemical Processes
Automated Cleaning Processes
Micro-Forging Processes
Heat Treat Processes

Assist with the development, acquisition, installation, and implementation of new machinery, equipment, and manufacturing systems.
Conduct tests throughout all stages of production to resolve control over applicable variables and fix/solve production problems
Guide to product design engineering on technical specifications that will best apply equipment and manufacturing techniques
Recommend design changes to improve equipment efficiency, optimization, and reduced cost of operation.
Support documentation such as engineering change notices, standard operating procedures, etc.
WHAT YOULL BRING TO ALCON:
Bachelors Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school 10 yrs.; Assoc.6yrs; M.S.0 yrs.) The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English

1 Years of Demonstrated Leadership
Travel Requirements: Like domestic or international (Percentage)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills, as related to manufacturing machinery and equipment, and associated processes.
Excellent work ethic, communication skills, interpersonal skills, and collaboration skills.
