Fleet Mechanic – Technician Apprentice

Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Fleet Repair Mechanic to join our team as a Technician Apprentice. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of 100 vehicles, including oil changes, tire repairs, and small engine repairs. You will also be on call for emergency situations such as flat tires, engine failures, and other issues.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A high school diploma or equivalent
A valid drivers license and a clean driving record
Experience in the automobile industry
Your own set of tools
The ability to work independently and follow instructions
The willingness to learn new skills and techniques
The availability to work from 7 am to 4 pm or 7 am to 6 pm, plus weekends as needed
As a Technician Apprentice, you will:
Pull two vehicles out of the fleet every day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, and perform basic checks and services such as tire pressure, oil level, and fluid levels
Return the vehicles to the drivers and report any issues or concerns
Respond to calls for assistance from drivers who encounter problems on the road, such as flat tires, engine malfunctions, or breakdowns
Diagnose and troubleshoot the causes of the problems and perform the necessary repairs or replacements
Maintain a log of all the work done and the parts used
Follow safety procedures and regulations at all times
Assist the Fleet Mechanic with other tasks as needed
