Role Objective
Organizes equipment, projects, work orders, and documentation for the maintenance department. Monitors the activity and location of maintenance group employees.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Administers the functionality of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Plans maintenance work schedules and assigns maintenance work orders and MOCs, as required.
Schedules discretionary work for fill in to allow for changes or schedule adjustments.
Schedules equipment for preventative maintenance and/or repair work.
Arranges for work inspections as required.
Generates reports from CMMS looking at trends, cost controls, and tracking.
Conducts periodic audits of preventative maintenance work.
Catalogues and manages equipment inventories.
Analyzes equipment and work histories to identify performance trends and component life cycle.
Initiates and maintains “on line” documentation records organization.
Monitors open work orders for completion, retrieve completed work orders and close in CMMS.
Maintains priority of direction for maintenance crew as directed by maintenance manager.
Participates in maintenance staff meetings and maintenance team meetings to communicate scheduled maintenance activities along with safety and environmental concerns.
Maintains directory of drawings hard copy and Auto CAD.
Purchases routine facility maintenance supplies and project supplies.
Supports off site engineers by providing on site communication and expediting.
Expedites project material orders through procurement and / or vendors.
Coordinates the availability of parts, services, internal and external resources, and line availability for execution.
Makes recommendations for system improvements.
Reviews and analyzes operational data, operating systems and daily operations to make
recommendations for investigation and action areas (focus on efficiency, productivity, scrap
reduction, product throughput, regulatory compliance).
Designs system changes, procedures, tools with communication and training to clarify issues and
initiate and complete corrective action.
Recommends modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality
within limits of equipment capability.
Coordinates Management of Change activities.
Lead / participate in department, line, team or other functional unit meetings to clarify / define project
or process modification opportunities.
Participate in and / or lead investigations of SQRs, OOS and QNs.
Coordinating and managing line installs, machinery rebuilds and other equipment overhauls.
Collaborate with outside contractors and vendors, to assist in plant projects.
Drafts WISs and SOPs associated with general Mechanical Integrity best practices.
Creates PMs based on the Inspection, Testing, Preventive Maintenance standards for equipment covered by Mechanical Integrity
Identifies and manages contract resources capable of executing inspections and testing to Engineering standards (API 653 tanks, API 570 process piping).
Seek and employ resources; consultants, contractors, education experts, etc., to assist in resolution of issues beyond GOJO resource capabilities
Education and Experience
Minimum 5 years experience in the chemical, assembly or packaging industry with emphasis in manufacturing management, quality control or quality assurance, operations analysis and / or
engineering. At least three (3) years work related experience with an FDA regulated or ISO 9000 compliant company. Direct experience with regulatory agencies such as FDA, OSHA, and EPA required.
