Lab Tech

[IMKO is recruiting Lab Techs for an expanding client in the Siouxland area. Our Client is willing to TRAIN this position! [The Lab Technician position is a full-time opportunity to learn hands-on in the areas of product testing, research and development, and food safety consultation. The core capabilities include microbiological, chemical, and physical testing.
[This position is in a scientific lab environment. The Lab Tech positions support other lab employees in the lab. This position does require keeping a sterile environment. Lab Techs will set up and trouble shoot equipment for accurate results.

– Homogenizes samples following standard protocols.
– Assists with cleaning laboratory carts, glassware, racks.
– Maintains cleanliness of laboratory work surfaces.
– Maintains records of all quality activities as required in Operating Procedures and Test Methods.
– Performs applicable testing with proper proficiency training with Supervision.
– Maintains and verifies equipment.

[Starting pay $15.00 base pay (depending on experience)

– HS Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
– Interest in Microbiology/Chemistry or related field or commercial laboratory experience (Preferred)
– Must be reliable and work well in a team environment
– Training will be provided and can accommodate student schedules
