JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB SUMMARY: As a member of the management team, the
Marketing and Communication Manager is responsible for developing,
implementing, and overseeing strategic marketing and communication
initiatives that promote the mission and goals of The Community Blood
Center. This role involves creating engaging content, managing
campaigns, and enhancing the centers public image to drive blood
donation and community engagement. At The Community Blood Center, we
lead our teams while keeping our mission, vision, and values at the
forefront of all we do. As a leader, you will inspire, train, coach, and
collaborate within your department and the within the broader
organization, with a focus on strategic goal achievement. ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned): 1. Strategic
Planning and Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and
communications strategies to support the centers objectives and
enhance public awareness. Create and manage annual marketing plans,
including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. 2. Content
Creation and Management: Oversee the creation of compelling content for
various channels including social media, websites, newsletters, and
press releases. Ensure that all content aligns with the centers brand,
mission, and messaging standards. 3. Campaign Management: Plan, execute,
and monitor marketing campaigns aimed at increasing blood donations and
community engagement. Analyze campaign performance metrics and adjust
strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes. 4. Public Relations:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with media, community partners, and
stakeholders. Prepare and distribute press releases, organize press
conferences, and handle media inquiries. 5. Digital and Social Media:
Manage the centers digital presence, including social media profiles
and website content. Develop strategies for growing online engagement
and driving traffic to the centers digital platforms. 6. Community
Outreach: Collaborate with local organizations, businesses, and schools
to organize promotional events. Represent the center at community events
and forums to raise awareness and build partnerships. 7. Internal
Communications: Develop internal communication strategies to keep team
members and volunteers informed and engaged. Coordinate with various
departments to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication
within the organization. 8. Team Leadership and Development Supervise,
coach, and mentor marketing and communications team members, providing
guidance and support for their professional growth. Foster a
collaborative and productive team environment. 9. Reporting and
Analysis: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing and
communication initiatives. Utilize data and feedback to continuously
improve strategies and processes. OTHER EXPERIENCE AND
QUALIFICATIONS: JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 1. Bachelors degree in
marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
Masters degree is a plus. 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in
marketing and communications, with a focus on non-profit or healthcare
sectors preferred. 3. Proven experience in managing marketing campaigns,
content creation, and public relations. 4. Strong knowledge of digital
marketing tools, social media platforms, and website management. 5.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to
craft compelling messages and engage diverse audiences. 6. Demonstrated
ability to lead teams, manage projects, and work collaboratively with
various stakeholders. 7. Strong analytical skills and experience with
