What Youll Do:

Volunteer Management:

– Communicate with all departments of the organization to identify available opportunities and needs for volunteers.
– Develop and implement a comprehensive volunteer recruitment strategy to attract diverse candidates.
– Manage the full volunteer lifecycle, including applications, background checks, onboarding, training, scheduling (alongside Program Managers), and recognition.
– Maintain accurate records of applications, background checks, volunteer hours, participation, and contributions.
– Facilitate ongoing communication and provide support to ensure volunteers are engaged and motivated.
– Coordinate volunteer activities, ensuring that tasks align with organizational needs and volunteer skills.
– Design and execute volunteer recognition programs to foster a positive volunteer culture.
– Regularly communicates and evaluates with volunteers to ensure the placement fits the individuals skills and goals.
– Maintains and publishes the volunteer program guidelines and procedures.

Outreach and Community Engagement:

– Build relationships with local communities, businesses, schools, and other organizations to increase awareness of volunteer opportunities and programs.
– Plan and execute outreach events such as community presentations, workshops, and information sessions.
– Represent the organization at community events, networking opportunities, and partnership meetings.
– Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop outreach materials and social media content.
– Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach efforts, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.
– Coordinates and distributes in-kind donations with community partners, donors, etc.
