Job Description:

Position: Mechanical Assembler

Location: McKinney, TX

Duration: 12 months (Contractor role with ability to extend or be directly hired)

Pay Rate: $19.44 per hourst Shift: 6:00am to 2:30pm)

Start Date: as soon as possible or until Filled / Closed

This role will support production AND development/prototype assemblies and products within the Advanced Product Center at the McKinney, TX site. The selected candidate will perform a wide variety of tasks in support of a manufacturing / production environment.

Disassembly, re-assembly, fabrication, repair and/or inspection of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

May set up and operate a variety of machine and hand instruments. May route, dispatch and expedite flow of material.

Checks for work correctness. Specific duties will include material preparation and the assembly and rework of electronic and mechanical assemblies.

Perform wire/cable preparation, installation, crimping, and torquing using hand instruments.

All work is performed in accordance with written work instructions to prescribed standards.

Ability to work with production resources and teammates to meet production goals.

Perform repetitive tasks in accordance with an established, demonstrated process.

Perform in-process inspections in accordance with company standards and customer specifications.

Develop more than one job at a time and have the flexibility to work across shifts.

Perform other duties as assigned by Leadership responsible for maintenance.

Requirements:

Excellent hand/finger dexterity and extreme attention to detail.

Basic computer and math skills.

Experience with the use of common hand instruments (screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, torque tools and analyzers, etc.).

Shift job assignments based on production requests.

Demonstrated ability to adhere to detailed work instructions and quality standards.

Communicate effectively, develop more than one job at a time, and have the flexibility to work across shifts.

Ability to work with production resources and teammates to meet production goals.

Perform repetitive tasks in accordance with an established, demonstrated process.

Perform in-process inspections in accordance with company standards and customer specifications.

Effective time management skills. Demonstrated motivation for continuous improvement.

Ability to accomplish daily work tasks with a positive attitude and interpersonal tact skills.

Related experience working in a Manufacturing, Assembly, Aviation or Naval Environment with hands on technical experience in repair, installation, and inspection.

Prefers: 2 or more years of applicable work experience.

Prefers: Experience with VM, CMES, SAP, or other manufacturing automation databases and tools.
