Were seeking a future team member for the role of Associate, Operational Risk Management to join our Ops Risk team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA and Lake Mary, FL in a Hybrid work environment.
About the team:
BNY Operational Risk Management concerns our internal bank operations and processes, management information systems, payment systems risk management, fraud risk management, internal controls, financial reporting, physical security, insurance and insurable risk, among other bank operations. The Associate role is part of the Operational Risk team and works with senior members to synthesize data from multiple sources, prepare enterprise views and summaries, and coordinate with subject matter experts for commentary on the results. Outputs from the analysis will be included in reporting to senior management, the Risk Committee of the Board of Directors, and Regulators.
In this role, youll make an impact in the following ways:
Act as an independent challenge function to Operational Risk Governance by providing independent feedback and escalations
Assist in conducting deep-dives and Risk Assessments for areas of processes of concern
Driving the implementation of all components of the Operational Risk Management Framework (KRIs, RCSAs, Op Risk Event Mgmt., Reporting to Senior Management) and embedding risk culture across the organization
Liaising with Compliance, Internal Audit and other Risk types to ensure alignment of objectives, coverage and strong information flow
To be successful in this role, were seeking the following:
Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
1-3 years of experience within a banking environment is required. GSIB banking experience is preferred.
Highly skilled in Excel including the construction of Macros, Pivot Tables, Dashboarding and data manipulations. Integrations with other technologies (ie Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to analyze problems and formulate conclusions and recommendations
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a complex and dynamic environment
Excellent leadership skills with ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders
