Head of Innovation

Just in Time GCP

The Head of Innovation leads the strategic direction of innovation within the company, with a strong focus on leveraging emerging technologies such as generative AI to optimize product delivery, streamline processes, and drive growth. The role will collaborate closely with the Product Delivery team and other departments to execute a comprehensive innovation strategy that enhances the companys offerings, particularly around regulatory compliance, eTMF management, and GCP inspection readiness.  You will be responsible for:

– Contributing to and implementing the corporate strategy and core values as it relates to innovation
– Define and execute a forward-looking innovation roadmap that integrates AI technologies with company offerings.
– Lead the development and implementation of generative AI-driven products to improve document management, TMF oversight, and real-time regulatory compliance checks.
– Expand the product line by identifying market opportunities for new and enhanced AI solutions.
– Leading the AI-enabled product design, including client focused solutions ensuring that appropriate regulatory compliance and risk mitigation
– Oversee the design and development of AI-powered solutions, particularly for automating document workflows and ensuring regulatory compliance.
– Work with cross-functional teams to integrate AI into existing platforms such as Veeva Vault and PhlexEview.
– Drive the customization of AI solutions to meet the unique needs of clients in clinical research and life sciences, focusing on streamlining processes and improving inspection readiness.
– Identify risks related to AI deployment and develop strategies to mitigate those risks while ensuring the integrity of client data.
– Monitor the performance of AI-driven initiatives and refine the technology to ensure it meets evolving business and regulatory needs.
– Leading team efforts related to technology innovation and act as a key participant in all process innovations assessing opportunity to leverage technology for efficiency and innovation.
– Ensuring the adoption of AI leveraging Just in Time GCP change management strategy.
– Develop and implement training programs to increase the understanding and adoption of AI-driven products across the company and with clients.
– Lead efforts to promote the benefits of AI in reducing manual tasks, improving data accuracy, and enhancing regulatory compliance.
– Leading AI-based optimization efforts for eTMF management, ensuring completeness, timeliness, and consistency of documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

– Undergraduate degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Life Sciences, Engineering)
– 10 years experience in life sciences, technology, or a related field, with at least 5 years in an innovation leadership role
– Demonstrated experience in AI-enabled product development and delivering solutions within the clinical research, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries.
– Deep understanding of GCP, regulatory compliance, and inspection readiness, with a focus on how AI can support these areas
