Direct Care Worker

– Provide assistance, company and comfort to immobile, ill or frail clients.
– Remind to take medicine and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
– Monitor the physical, mental and emotional conditions of clients and report changes.
– Run errands, assist with personal hygiene, and perform housekeeping tasks.
– Work with patients who have chronic illnesses or long-term disabilities.
– Perform basic home health care for clients.
– Work with the elderly, the developmentally or physically disabled, or patients in rehabilitation programs.
– Need to have patience, empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and a detailed knowledge of best care practices.
