Research Assistant

The Department of Health Behavior and Society is seeking a Research Assistant (RA ) to support Drs. Liesl Nydegger and Lauren Czaplicki’s project to explore and develop tailored PrEP marketing campaign messages for Black women living in Baltimore. The RA will be responsible for assisting in Institutional Review Board (IRB) application materials, recruiting and enrolling study participants in qualitative data collection, and qualitative analysis. We are seeking an individual who is self-motivated, possesses strong organizational abilities, can manage multiple tasks, and adhere to deadlines.

The position is 9 hours per week, which can be flexibly completed by the hire.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with development of IRB protocol, consent forms, and submission process.

Assist with recruitment and enrollment of study participants for in-depth interviews.

Conduct one-on-one in-depth interviews with participants on Zoom (experience required).

Assist with coding and analyzing qualitative data (NVivo or similar software experience preferred but not required).

Input and manage data in OneDrive, Excel, Qualtrics, or similar systems.

Contribute to reports, publications, and project summaries.

Attend regular meetings with project leads and community partners.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in related discipline.

Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience conducting qualitative interviews.

Experience with qualitative data analysis.

Starting Salary Range: $17.20 – $30.30 HRLY (Commensurate with experience)

Schedule: Flexible work schedule and may include weekends
