Job Summary

The Project Management Director develops and leads the execution of the strategy that advances the way work is done to achieve project goals and objectives. The Director must maintain understanding of all facets of their assigned workstream and operational focus area including industry trends, internal trends, technology innovations, internal & external factors (industry, state and regulatory).

Essential Functions

Directs overall workstream team ensuring work is carried out at a high standard

Provides oversight of workstream status & execution of timely corrective action as needed

Responsible for strategic visioning for assigned workstreams

Exercises independent decision-making authority when advising on project issue resolution and risk mitigation planning

Delivers coaching & training to workstream resources as needed; ensures resource coverage throughout the project and support phase

Integrates key dependency planning activities

Accountable for the successful execution of critical path milestones, adoption, and benefits realization

Serves as a point of escalation for issues/risks and facilitates mitigation tactics

Approves change strategy and employee/leader facing materials

Ensures proper scoping and budgeting activities are completed for change requests associated with workstream

Ensures organizational Officer questions are being answered according to SLAs

Leads a qualified team of at least two or more full time employees and has the authority to hire, terminate, coach, develop, promote, demote and performance manage members of the team

Required Qualifications For Position

Bachelors Degree or 5 years or more of comparable experience

8-10 years of area of expertise experience

Demonstrated ability to make decisions based on information available

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Aptitude for attention to detail, accuracy, precision, and logic

Capability to efficiently perform duties under stringent deadlines

Excellent computer skills and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position

5 years of Utility or Corporate Services experience

Experience with Project Management or large-scale organizing and planning

Lean, SIx Sigma, Project Management Certifications

Salary Range:

$150,900.00 – $226,300.00
