Class A CDL Driver/Equipment Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Class A CDL Driver/Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to successfully deliver all equipment to and from job sites, deliver materials to/from job sites/shop yard, operate heavy equipment on construction sites when needed, and ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely. This is a hands-on role that requires strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Duties:

– Operate a range of heavy equipment, including graders, bulldozers, and dump trucks, to move materials, clear land, and demolition.

– Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.

– Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers, as well as transfer materials between different areas of the site.

– Dig trenches and holes using heavy equipment, as needed.

– Maintain a clean and organized construction site, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

– Operate a Caterpillar vehicle, ensuring compliance with all safety and operational procedures.

– Utilize commercial driving skills to transport personnel and equipment around the site.

– Collaborate with other operators and construction team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.

Requirements:

– Proven experience operating heavy equipment, such as graders and bulldozers.

– Valid commercial drivers license and a clean driving record.

– Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as work in a physically demanding environment.

– Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of construction equipment maintenance.

– Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and regulations.

– Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.

– High school diploma or equivalent required.
