Description

Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio is seeking a mission-minded Associate to join us as full time (37.5 per week) Institutional Giving Officer. Please note: Applicant must reside in the state of Ohio.
SUMMARY
Institutional Giving Officer is the primary manager for all institutional funding partnerships and serves as the principal grant writer. The Director of Institutional Giving is responsible for a portfolio of current and prospective institutional funders including foundations, governments, and corporations, with a strategic focus on securing new and increased support for Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohios established programs and new initiatives.
Under the direction of the Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships, the Institutional Giving Officer will lead the strategy for institutional giving by identifying funding sources for renewed, increased, and new support, and develop and implement strategies for institutional funder stewardship and engagement, including donor communications and events. This position will oversee all grant proposals to ensure alignment with overall organizational strategy and messaging and will work collaboratively with the Senior Development Associate of Institutional Giving to ensure that high quality proposals and reports are submitted in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a portfolio of current and prospective institutional funders with a strategic focus on retention, upgrades, and acquisitions to meet or exceed yearly institutional revenue goals
Expand the institutional portfolio through prospect identification, research, and strategic cultivation, communication, and solicitation
Prepare recommendations on new donor opportunities to facilitate decision-making by key stakeholders
Establish and maintain relationships with institutional giving representatives and staff to build increasing levels of engagement and support
Work collaboratively with cross-departmental leadership to develop, plan, and create program descriptions, project budgets, evaluation metrics, and other materials needed for institutional giving proposals
Serve as lead project manager for major proposals and reports to institutional funding partners
Collaborate with the Senior Development Associate of Institutional Giving in crafting, editing, and reviewing compelling narratives in adherence with grant funder guidelines that demonstrate PPGOHs mission and work to advance health equity for all
Prepare and travel for meetings and site visits with current and prospective institutional giving partners
Develop strong strategies to retain, upgrade, and acquire new institutional partners through the building of thoughtful proposals, meaningful stewardship, and creative engagement communications and activities
Keep funders engaged and aware of the organizations work through regular communication and build strategy to deepen relationships with existing and prospective funders
Maintain a positive, proactive relationship with Accounting, HR, and PPGOH program staff to ensure full grant compliance and process efficiency
Manage an institutional giving grants calendar to ensure timely tracking of submission due dates and reporting details
