The role consists of a variety of responsibilities and the mechanic will:
– Fit, align, adjust, and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and operating requirements.

– Test assembled parts.

– Repair units or parts that have failed to meet specified functional performance.

– Disassemble and inspects heavy sub-assemblies.

– Load and unload material from trucks to storage area and move with workspace using forklift, handcart, or another device.

– May exercise own technical judgment.

– Operate drill press, lathe, and milling machines.

– Inspect components using micrometers and complete inspection form.

– Disassemble heavy equipment, pneumatic impact tools, torches, and hydraulic tools.

– Secure rigging and operate overhead cranes.
“`{=html}
“`
– Assemble heavy components by heating, bolting, and welding .
“`{=html}
“`
– High School Diploma or GED
– Valid Drivers License
– 2-4 years experience and formal training in machining, welding or mechanic technology
