Your responsibilities
Summary:
The Cycle Counter is responsible for performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to be reflective of reported inventory. Supports the organization in maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.
Performs inventory cycle counts on raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and non-conforming materials on a daily basis.
Counts and reconciles randomly chosen part numbers and/or locations on a daily basis.
Operates forklift to obtain materials located out of arm reach.
Identifies any non-conforming parts and moves them to quality.
Assist in developing solutions to shortages, overages, and inventory discrepancies.
Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Your profile
Qualifications & Experience:
Possesses a stable work history and a strong personal desire to work safely and maintain a safe working environment.
Experience working in a warehouse environment safely operating facility material handling equipment (e.g. forklift, pallet jacks, automated storage & retrieval systems, carousel) and picking and packing equipment (e.g. scanner, scale, tape machine).
Experience operating various forklifts (order filler, stand-up reach, sit down electric, scissor lift)
Familiarity in working with large ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets with accuracy and efficiency.
Possesses good hand-eye coordination and is able to perform detailed work with a strong attention to detail and quality.
Position is required to work efficiently in a fast pace, multi-tasking environment, while keeping correct data.
Position is requird to be able to lift up to 40 pounds, perform repetitious duties and walk or stand for long periods of time on a daily basis.
Highly organized with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Exhibits integrity through fair and ethical behaviors in all activities; maintains accountability for performance.
Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational and communication skills.
Proven experience developing work processes to improve outcomes for the team/customers.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
