[General Summary:]{.underline}

Under the general supervision of the Youth Center Director, provides individual, group and family counseling sessions as assigned. Evaluates and assesses residents emotional stability and develops and monitors progress toward therapy goals. Testifies in court and provides written assessments of youths progress.

[Employment Qualifications: ]{.underline}

Education: Must have completed a Masters Degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited university and must possess a valid Michigan Social Work License and be in good standing. Within one (1) year of starting employment, must obtain certification for Juvenile Sexual Offender counseling.

Experience: Must have two (2) years or more related work experience in providing treatment to adolescents. Knowledge of “best practices” in treatment modalities for juvenile offenders and their families and experience in implementing such programming is required.
