What You Will Do:

Our Vehicle Systems Application Engineering Team completes the design and installation drawings, adhering to product standards and specifications as well as federal codes and standards. The application engineer ensures the design is feasible and meets the requirements of the SOW.

How You Will Do It:

Application Engineers job duties include but are not limited to the following:

Creates system design and installation drawings per the SOW

Makes modifications to existing designs or products, to improve their performance or to integrate new technology

Ensures proper application and use of the proposed product

Collaborates with the research and development department to integrate new improvements into designs

Assist and work with sales team to fully understand customer requirements

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Carry out site surveys and complete Fire Risk Assessments

Customer liaison at multiple levels

Address customer technical questions/ requests and maintain information in CRM tool

What We Look For:

Required

Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar background through education or related experience

Minimum of 3 years of work experience as an application engineer or similar role

CAD 2D and /or 3D experience

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and SolidWorks

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

2 years of work experience within the fire suppression industry as an application engineer or similar role

Creo experience
