About the Position: National Grid Renewables is seeking a Strategic Origination Intern for the summer of 2025. The intern will preferably be an MBA candidate, but applications are also being received for relevant undergraduate candidates. The Strategic Origination Internship is for an individual that is looking for a career experience in the renewables industry and is hungry to make a difference…as part of a great team of originators. What you will be doing: The intern will focus on the following areas: Proposal Writing / Process Improvement: Coordinate with internal teams to develop detailed project proposals for competitive solicitations Manage online platforms to ensure accuracy of project info Identify and propose solutions to inefficiencies and knowledge gaps within Origination Team Strategy: Compose and deliver useful strategic analyses to guide commercial decisions (eg new market entry) and risk assessment Pull and analyze unique data for internal and external sales meetings Review power plant data to help anticipate customer needs Collaborate with Energy Storage T develop energy storage strategy Sales Collaborate with internal teams to develop sales materials, PowerPoints, summaries, and analyses for internal and external sales meetings Participate in utility and C&I offtake discussions Additional duties include customer relationship management and contract management. What you bring to this role: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree(s) in Business, Business analytics, Economics, Finance, Public Policy, Engineering or Renewable Energy MBA is not required but preferred Knowledge of or experience in power markets industry Experience using Microsoft Excel Analytical Detail-oriented Business-minded Well-organized; multi-tasker Strong written and oral communicator Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities Quick, accurate, and consistent work Other Important Information: This is a paid internship Expected hours are about 40/week
