Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities:

– Provide individualized occupational therapy services to children ages 2-5 with diverse learningneeds.
– Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify areas of strength and challenge in fine motorskills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and self-care skills.
– Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate play-based activitiesand evidence-based interventions.
– Collaborate with teachers and parents to create a cohesive and supportive learningenvironment for each child.
– Embed therapy sessions seamlessly into classroom routines and play activities.
– Monitor and document childrens progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
– Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

– Masters degree in Occupational Therapy.
– Connecticut license to practice occupational therapy.
– Experience working with young children, preferably in an early childhood education setting.
– Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education principles.
– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
– Passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development.
– Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators and therapists.
