School Location- CREC Academy of Aerospace & Engineering Elementary (Rocky Hill) Preparing and cooking of food according to HHFKA standards and recipes. Delegate duties and monitor other team members. Serves meals to students and staff. Records temps and time and Production Order records accordingly. Performs cleaning duties, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing and pot washing. Sets up hot and/or cold food area and service lines. Delivers, when necessary, food to staff, students and catering events. Prepares and serve food according to menus. Checks and stores incoming supplies. Prepares documents with GM for State and/ or internal audits Participates on safety committee. Attends all mandatory in-service programs. Supports the goals, objective and mission statement set forth by Whitsons. Performs all other duties as assigned. Work Schedule – Mon – Fri – 7am – 3pm (8 hrs./day) Subject to Change ServSafe is required. Culinary background is required – Must have a passion and an interest in food. High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum 2-year experience in K-12 programs preferably. Strong interest in school nutrition program development. Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments. Extensive physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling. Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment. Always present a positive and professional image.
