Internal Communications Business Partner
TEKsystems
Job Summary:
As an Internal Communications Business Partner, your primary focus will be on supporting communications and engagement activities. This involves enabling colleagues to understand and engage with the activities taking place across the COO function. Sometimes, this is targeted at audiences within the COO, and other times it is directed towards the broader organization.
Responsibilities Include:
Managing dedicated relationships with the COO leadership team, and leading on the delivery of tactical, strategic and ad hoc communications, both within and outside the COO function
By ‘tactical communications we mean: a regular cadence of ‘business as usual’ comms from the COO teams (e.g. regular functional updates)
By ‘strategic’ communications we mean: specific, bespoke projects, potentially requiring one or more members of the Internal Communications team to deliver (e.g. communicating an organizational redesign)
By ‘ad hoc’ communications we mean those that crop up unexpectedly, and can be potentially sensitive or relate to an emergency (and sometimes need to go out at short notice)
Developing and executing integrated communication and engagement plans for the Chief Operating Officer and supporting each of the COO teams
End-to-end production of written communications (updates) and in-person events (e.g. townhalls) for the Chief Operating Officer and COO leadership, to inform and engage the whole function
Leading on a series of communications campaigns that translate what is happening across the COO
Managing multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously, and delivering them in a timely manner
Maintaining a connection with the wider Internal Communications team, to ensure that our collective deliverables are consistent in tone and look-and-feel
Being the Internal Communications liaison with change program leads and business readiness / ways-of-working colleagues
Targeting and tailoring comms at different audience groups, based on their specific needs · Outstanding engagement skills, specifically including communicating from the perspective and experience of our audiences about what is happening, why, and what it means for them
Managing our existing, and developing new, comms channels to inform, engage and excite our audiences about change
Coordinating our Modernization Champion network, so they are enthused and ready to influence and advocate for changes being made
Work with the broader Internal Communications team on the design and delivery of team / functional / group-wide events that support our culture (e.g. Exec Q&As, strategy events, results presentations, functional deep-dives, welcome calls, employee social events, culture days, etc.) and campaigns (e.g. translating our engagement survey results into measurable actions etc.) to highlight and promote specific issues
Work on a range of Internal Comms projects as and when necessary (e.g. reviewing and refreshing our channels, audience segmentation, strategy development, identifying new comms and engagement platforms, etc.), to improve delivery across the whole Internal Comms team
Proactively, act as an ‘internal journalist’ seeking out interesting stories (about leadership, change, people, strategy etc.) from across the business, and finding the right channel to deliver them to the right audience
Use data to measure how effective our comms, culture and engagement efforts are, and flex our style accordingly
Skills & Qualifications:

Can design and implement creative ideas
Able to identify and build collaborative relationships throughout the business
