Perfumers (Piscataway, NJ)Translate clients’ needs into exquisite fragrances, setting new olfactive trends, and building a diverse collection. Collaborate with clients, leverage dsm-firmenich specialties, and contribute to marketing and research initiatives. Mentor trainees and drive excellence in the world of perfumery. Key responsibilities include: understanding and interpreting clients’ needs and translating them into fragrance compositions which are within client quality, stability, price and safety guidelines and consistent with all relevant Firmenich polices and standards; developing local, regional fragrances with the aim of setting new olfactive trends (where relevant); developing own collections proactively in order to prepare for new opportunities, contributing to collections or preparing for defensive briefs; collaborating with account managers to bring perfumery expertise to clients (can include partnership creative work with client’s perfumers, experts in clients, or industry consultants); using Firmenich specialties and technologies optimally for business opportunities; supporting and/or participating in marketing, technical or research studies on fragrances/raw materials, or technologies as assigned; providing training to perfumer trainees, internally to other disciplines and for key client requests; and, modifying existing perfumes for palette, commercial or technical reasons, and advising on raw material shortages, substitutes, and selection.Requires a Bachelor’s degree (will accept 3- or 4-year degree) and 5 years of perfumery experience creating fragrances for client briefs at a recognized fragrance manufacturer. Must have experience with: perfumery raw materials; fragrances for Personal Care products and Household products.Resumes to Aromatic Technologies, Inc.
