Job Title: NDT Level II

Job Description

We are seeking qualified NDT Level II Inspectors with documented certification to the Level II requirements for ASNTs SNT-TC-1A, 2001 Edition or later. Candidates must have passed written general theory and procedure specific examinations for the applicable method(s) and possess practical experience in operating NDT equipment, recording, and analyzing results. A visual acuity exam using Jaeger 1 letters at a distance of not less than 12 inches within the last year is required. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of documented, continuous experience in the applicable inspection methods within the past 9 months. Safety Harness and Respirator qualification, as well as familiarity with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry, are necessary.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Newport News, Virginia.

Work Environment

Shipyard environment. Located in Southeast Virginia, the yard stretches over 5 miles long. The climate is hot and muggy during the summer and cool during the winter. All work will be performed on a Navy vessel or in a shop environment. Candidates must be able to work any shift: 1st shift (7am-3:30pm), 2nd shift (3:30-11pm), and 3rd shift (11pm-7am).
