Xylem is looking for a Driver Technician to report to our Garner, NC location and service our customers in the surrounding areas.

What your day will look like as a Driver Technician

The Driver Technician will be responsible for supporting the delivery, installation and operation of our pumps on Xylem Service Center sites and/or customer job sites. Equipment specific training will be provided, but applicants with previous professional driving experience and a mechanical background are especially encouraged to apply.

This position has general day shift hours and overtime opportunities with occasional overnights and afternoons/weekends.

Position Requirements for Driver Technicians

Clean driving record

HS diploma or equivalent

Capable of obtaining a CDL, class A or B with applicable endorsements

Experience Requirements:

Ability to obtain all required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.)

Ability to obtain DOT Medical card

Experience with flatbed trailers and proper load securement techniques (chaining, strapping, etc.)

0 to 2 years of technical work experience; 1 year preferred.

Fusion experience preferred.

One to two years’ experience in the construction industry preferred.

Ability to drive overnight.

Ability to cross-borders and obtain valid passport.

Ability to drive difficult routes.

Ability to understand weight requirements / weight distribution.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 80%-90% travel depending on division & location (mix of local and longer distance with overnight stays)

The estimated salary range for this position is $23/Hr. to $30/Hr. Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each roles pay falling within that range. Actual starting salary is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions.
