Position Summary

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for accounting activities of assigned clients and customers. This position plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and providing exceptional customer service to clients. You will also perform journal entries, reconcile customer receivables and vendor payables, assist with month-end financial reporting, conduct variance analyses, and create various other reports. You will be collaborating closely with the line of business operational staff, finance staff, and Director of finance for the region. By working cross-functionally within multiple departments, this individual will ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations while supporting the companys financial goals. This is a hybrid role, working at least three times weekly from the office, out our West Palm Beach, FL location. The posted salary ranges will default to that of your regional location and will not include and premiums. The baseline range will be as follows: $70,000 – $85,000.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree in accounting or related discipline

Five years or more of accounting experience, preferably in client or customer accounting

Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Oracle, SAP preferred)

Advanced excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent interpersonal skills and developed management skills; must be tactful, mature and flexible; able to get along well with diverse personalities.

Strong oral and written English communication skills; English is the language of aviation; must be able to read, write and speak the English language fluently.

Must have the ability to write effective reports and business correspondence.

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy & organization

Ability to work autonomously and in high pressure environment; establishing credibility, able to recognize and support the organizations preferences and priorities.

Main Responsibilities

Perform all general ledger accounting functions, through the monthly closing and preparation of operating statements.

Assist with reconciliation of FBO activities including sales orders, purchase orders, bank deposits and credit card transactions.

Review, code, and route invoices for approval in Jet Aviation accounts payable system.

Analyze and resolve intercompany account differences.

Process journal entries in the general ledger system manually and through uploads.

Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Assist with month-end financial reporting submissions to Jet Aviation group finance.

Assist with preparation of income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasts.

Assist with end-of-month management reports and explanations of entity performance.

Manage monthly tenant rent roll for assigned FBO locations.

Conduct periodic reviews of fixed assets with local FBO personnel.

Assist Supply Chain department with management of parts inventory and invoicing.

Assist with insurance claim, delegation of authority review, and customer compliance requests as needed.

Prepare FET, sales and use tax as well as other local state returns.

Continuously review existing financial processes to identify and recommend improvements

Prepare ad hoc reports and perform other duties as assigned.

Assists in the development and enforcement of strong internal controls.
