Job Summary
This position performs warehouse operations tasks relative to the moving of raw materials for production.
Job Location: Mount Pleasant, TN
Shifts Available: 2nd; Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM and 3rd; Sunday-Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Job Responsibilities
Basic line operations and data collection
Operate production equipment successfully
Coordinating production activities with other Production Associates
Use tools as needed to perform adjustments and maintenance
Stack/transport product to the production line by hand and by operating a forklift
Unloads inbound trucks (inter-company deliveries, vendors, etc.)
Loads outbound trucks (inter-company shipments, off-site warehouse, etc.)
Locates and retrieves products and moves pallets and materials in the facility with a sit-down forklift
Regular and reliable attendance at work
Ensures all assigned duties are safely completed promptly in accordance with department standards and by following department procedures
Must take safety first, wear all appropriately designated PPE, and be able to work diligently to maintain safe working conditions and adhere to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses
Safety shoes are required for the position
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to add, subtract, and locate necessary information
Ability to use a computer to input and retrieve information
Monitor equipment through computer screens and physical observation
Work different shifts and overtime as required
Work Environment: Exposure to working near moving mechanical parts, working in extreme weather conditions. It is hot in the summer months (no AC) and cold in the winter months (limited heating). Occasionally fumes/airborne particles, the noise level is moderate to loud.
Preferred Requirements:
High School diploma or accredited GED
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
1 years of experience in a production environment
Ability to work under minimal supervision
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet usage.
3 months experience operating a forklift and have been licensed to operate a forklift
Language Skills: Good verbal communication skills
Mathematical Skills: Must have good basic math skills.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems, and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form, while adapting to shifting priorities.
Physical Demands: While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to episodes of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, crouching, reaching, pushing/pulling, grasping, hearing, twisting, lifting, frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel, pick, or type which can include the repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, or fingers. The employee may occasionally climb. Ability to hear and respond to audible alarms.
