This position is for a Maintenance Specialist with a company location in Picayune, MS.

Summary: Based in Picayune, MS the Maintenance Specialist is responsible for preventative maintenance and emergency repairs for all of the packaging and operating equipment within the facility. A Maintenance Specialist is responsible for repairing and maintaining production lines, mechanical equipment and buildings. The day-to-day tasks include electrical repairs, mechanic, plumbing, painting, flooring repair and upkeep, heating, and air conditioning system maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Quickly diagnose the source of failures and make emergency repairs to all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic systems as needed to return them to service and minimize production downtime.

Assist production staff in performing their duties through direction, training, and assistance.

Assist production operations in setting up equipment and making running adjustments to maintain maximum efficiency. Including annually auditing assigned equipment to improve or develop PMs, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures.

Maintain a clean and orderly work area, returning tools, equipment, and supplies to the appropriate storage areas after each assignment.

Responsible for performing preventative maintenance on all equipment.

Observe equipment in operation to prevent/diagnose potential problems.

Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove, repair and replace defective parts.

Identify, suggest, propose, and discuss solutions to equipment and facility issues with management.

Develop and maintain maintenance logs on all equipment.

Additional Responsibilities:

Participate in Safety Programs and uphold the Safety Culture.

Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Troubleshoot Fanuc Robotics, and other automation systems.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications Include:

High school diploma, GED Certification or equivalent is required. Valid state motor vehicle operators license.

Two years of experience in general maintenance or construction is required. Additional equivalent technical/trade school courses in a maintenance or construction related field. Fundamental knowledge of bearings, power transmission equipment, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, welding principles, rigging, overhead cranes, gearboxes, and mobile equipment operation.
