Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and adherence to all transportation regulations. The Truck Driver will operate different types of vehicles including dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and roll-off trucks, ensuring that all cargo is delivered in excellent condition.

Duties

– Safely operate commercial vehicles including dump trucks and tractor-trailers.

– Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of materials.

– Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

– Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road to ensure safety for yourself and others.

– Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.

– Utilize forklifts when necessary for loading and unloading cargo at various locations.

Experience

– Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Drivers License) and insurable driving record.

– Familiarity with operating different types of trucks such as tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and refrigerated trailers is preferred.

– Experience in freight transportation and delivery driving is highly desirable.

– Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.

– Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.

– A commitment to safety practices and regulations in the transportation industry.

– Ability to run heavy equipment is a plus. Please advise with any experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 — 50 per week
