Carpentry Instructor – Pre Apprentice program

If you have worked in the carpentry trade for a minimum of 3 years and are familiar with the pre-apprentice requirements, consider joining the team that is working together, to make lives better. 

Primary responsibilities include:

– Deliver lesson plans developed and approved by IKO Regional Council of Carpenters that cover the fundamentals of carpentry, including safety procedures, tool usage, and construction techniques.
– Provide hands on instruction and demonstration to students in a variety of techniques including framing, roofing, and finishing work.
– Evaluate student progress and provide feedback on performance.
– Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.
– Collaborate with other instructors and staff to continuously improve the outcomes!

Requirements:

– Minimum of 3 years experience in the carpentry industry
– Strong knowledge of techniques, tools and safety
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate students at all levels
– Valid Ohios drivers license and ability to pass a post-employment drug test
