Engineering Intern

Weyerhaeuser Company is providing an internship experience at Grayling, MI OSB manufacturing facility. This is an excellent professional development opportunity.

Key Intern Functions:

Intern roles and responsibilities may include participating in the following:

Planning process for capital projects
Resolving manufacturing issues
Assisting the maintenance and process control project teams
Assisting the technical manager
Assisting the maintenance & reliability supervisors
Assisting mill process owners in optimizing process economics and process controls
Working with team development managers to improve team performance
Hands on field measuring
Generating and altering autocad files
Other duties/ projects as assigned or required as needed

Commitment to learning and understanding critical safety behavior requirements

Pursuing a degree in Engineering or Reliability
Must be able to commit to a three-month internship
Verbal and written communication skills
Technical writing capability
Interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team environment
Problem solving and analytical skills
Organizational skills
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Proficient in MS Office
Autocad experience is a bonus
Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
