Your opportunity

In this role you will provide support for the portfolio managers and the investment team providing relevant information and recommendations regarding investments across the capital stack in Securitized Products with a focus on ABS including autos, cards, transportation and esoteric ABS. In depth knowledge of these sectors is critical to this position. Focus on making recommendations for profitable trades on a risk-adjusted basis in a Total Rate of Return and High Income environment. Additionally, this position will have opportunities to develop, launch and manage new portfolios with a focus on asset-backed securities in both the public and private markets.

Work on Securitized Products specific analyst with a focus on identifying opportunities primarily in ABS but potentially in other areas of Securitized Products as well.

Be responsible for the selection of the best risk-adjusted, total return Securitized securities with a focus on income and capital preservation.

Be responsible for understanding drivers of returns including: carry, duration, volatility, liquidity, optionality and default risk.

Have the ability to manipulate off-the-shelf models to drive cash-flows and risk analysis, including Bloomberg and Intex.

Build, update and maintain relative value models and surveil all models on a monthly basis.

Work with internal risk and analytics team to model, develop and update Securitized portfolio risk measures and visual displays.

Carry out other duties as assigned.

Must have skills

Bachelor’s degree required.

Strong modeling skills required. Need to be proficient in building and maintaining financial models to forecast future revenue, earnings, and cash flows.

Ability to work and make decisions independently as well as function effectively within a team.

Advanced MS Word, Excel, Bloomberg and internet skills.

Deep understanding of corporate finance, accounting, and fixed income markets.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to multi-task, organize, and assimilate large amounts of information quickly.

Commitment to building the business.

Nice to have skills

Post-graduate degree such as MBA, and CFA and/or CPA helpful

Quant, programming skills and statistics knowledge preferred.

Strong creativity, initiative, and drive.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate articulately, concisely, and persuasively.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships internally and externally.

Compensation information

The base salary range for this position is $175,000-200,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This role will remain open through October 18, 2024. Colorado law requires an estimated closing date for job postings. Please dont be discouraged from applying if you see this date has passed.

Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
