Engineer. This is a remote position with the occasional need to be onsite.

Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) is seeking to hire a highly skilled
and motivated DevOps Engineer to contribute to the development and deployment
of our corporate AI solutions. The ideal candidate will play a critical role
in building and maintaining infrastructure that supports our AI-driven
initiatives, ensuring the efficiency, scalability, and security of our
systems. If you have a passion for automation, cloud computing, and

a salary range of $80,000-$100,000 per year.
Must be available to support West Coast hours of operation.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support the
development lifecycle of AI-based applications.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to automate, streamline,
and optimize infrastructure and processes.
Manage cloud environments on AWS and Azure to ensure reliable, scalable,
and secure deployment of AI services.
Support database management, including relational (MS SQL, MySQL) and
non-relational (MongoDB, vector databases) systems.
Write and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance across various
cloud and on-prem environments.
Contribute to the security of AI solutions by applying cybersecurity best
practices.
Required Skills & Expertise:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a
related field (or equivalent experience) or 3 years of relevant experience.

Programming & Scripting (Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, Bash):
Extensive experience in writing scripts and automating processes using Python
for backend systems and AI operations.
Proficiency in JavaScript for building frontend components or automating
web-based interactions.
Familiarity with PowerShell for managing and automating Windows-based systems.
Experience with Bash scripting for Linux-based environments essential for
system administration and automation tasks.
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform):
Strong understanding and experience in using Terraform to manage and provision
infrastructure.
Ability to write reusable modular Terraform scripts to automate the
creation, modification and scaling of cloud resources in both AWS and Azure.
Knowledge of best practices for versioning, testing and deploying
infrastructure changes.
Database Management (MS SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Vector Databases):
Proficiency in managing MS SQL and MySQL databases including optimizing
queries and ensuring database availability.
Experience with MongoDB, a NoSQL database, commonly used for managing
unstructured data in modern AI applications.
Understanding of vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus) that
support the indexing and querying of vector embeddings for AI/ML workloads.
Cloud Platforms (AWS and Azure):
Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure management with hands-on experience in
AWS and Azure services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, Azure Virtual
Machines and Azure AI services.
Familiarity with cloud-native architecture design and microservices deployment
using containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Expertise in leveraging cloud security tools and configurations to safeguard
AI data and applications.
Agile Methodologies:
Solid experience working in Agile environments, utilizing frameworks such as
Scrum or Kanban to manage projects.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring that
development, operations and security teams work in tandem to meet project
goals
Familiarity with Agile tools like Jira or Trello to track progress, manage
sprints and document tasks.
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) & CI/CD Pipelines:
Strong understanding of the SDLC and its role in deploying and aintaining AI
solutions.
Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines, enabling automated
testing, integration and deployment of code changes.
Expertise in tools such as Jenkins, GitLab or CircleCI for automating code
integration, testing and delivery.
Cybersecurity Concepts and Best Practices:
Familiarity with fundamental cybersecurity concepts, including encryption,
secure networking, identity management and vulnerability assessments.
Experience in ensuring security compliance, especially within cloud-based
environments to protect sensitive AI data and models from cyber threats.
Qualifications:
Certifications in cloud technologies (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure
DevOps Engineer Expert).
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in cloud technologies (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure
DevOps Engineer Expert).
Experience in AI/ML-related infrastructure management and deployment.
Knowledge of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
