Typical Day in the Life
A typical day as a Tax Associate – Exempt Organization might include the
following:
Prepare/review annual information returns for exempt organization clients
including Form 990, Form 990-T and Form 990-PF (and related state returns).
Work with the tax team to ensure the various components of the tax process are
completed, including tax planning, client interaction and performing
special tax projects.
Gather relevant tax-related information from the client to prepare accurate
tax returns.
Participate in audit planning meetings, client interviews and client board
meetings
Assist with analysis of alternative investments for foreign and state
reporting issues and assist with state and foreign returns.
Perform special tax projects and research for clients while assisting members
of the National Tax Office.
Communicate with clients, audit teams and other tax professionals.
Manage numerous client expectations to ensure tax returns are completed
correctly and by the required deadline.
Maintain compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.
Help develop and manage client relationships
Participate in professional association meetings and forums
Attend training seminars, professional development and networking events.
Who You Are
The word “tax” is not foreign to you, and you can easily explain details
of your tax experience and/or can explain the difference between a 1040 and an
You live and breathe public accounting. It is your true lifes passion,
although certainly NOT your only interest!
You enjoy keeping up-to-date on the ever-changing tax industrys regulations
and policies.
You have a knack for solving problems and easily notice issues while bringing
solutions to the table.
You take pride in helping others.
In addition to all of this, you have a Bachelors degree in Accounting,
valid CPA license or working towards obtaining CPA license preferred;
Enrolled Agent (EA) certification also accepted, and 1-3 years of
experience in public accounting tax work.
Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without
visa sponsorship.

Benefits and Compensation
Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide
Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary
ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as
geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.

Salary Range: $69,000 – $80,000
