POSITION TITLE: COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR
CONNECTIONS 4 KIDS
SUPERVISORS TITLE: C4K Executive Director
COLLABORATIVE RELAT

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To plan and coordinate community/family engagement
events in Moffat and Rio Blanco Counties Duties would include assisting to
organize events such as Health Fairs, Childrens Festival, Mommy & Me
hospital bags, Teacher and Provider Appreciation events, preschool
engagement events, family nights, Christmas 4 Kids, and more. This
position would also work to develop community collaborations; and compiles
data on families served through Charity Tracker and other methods. The
coordinator would be responsible to social media marketing.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: To plan, coordinate, set up and be present at
all coordinated events. Work on promotion and advertising of such events in
our communities. Promoting and advocating for Connections 4 Kids in Moffat
and Rio Blanco Counties. You would also be called upon to carry out other
functions of the organization as needed.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal and customer
service skills required. Demonstrate organizational, problem solving and
negotiation skills. Capable of working with a diverse population, expressing
global empathy and is able to adapt to unique situations. Must have knowledge
of technology (Power Point, Excel, Word, use of computer).

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE High School diploma required with additional
educational preparation strongly preferred. Early Education background would
also be preferred. Experience in event planning and any experience which
provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the
essential functions of the job.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides information to staff and board through informal presentations.
2. Promotes the availability of what Connections 4 Kids has to offer to the
community.
3. Works collaboratively with local agencies to promote, fund and support
the agenda of Connections 4 Kids. Assists, when requested, with the
design, implementation and evaluation of services, programs or systems
that enhance services to families.
4. Serves as on-site resource for families and children.
5. Respects and protects the confidentiality of family members at all times
and in all circumstances.
6. Participate in establishing job requirements and goals; perform duties
at the desired level of competency.
7. Ensures that documentation and data collection is maintained and is
easily accessible.
8. Participates in outreach activities and programs.
9. Represents the Early Childhood Council in a positive and professional
manner.
10. Assists with fundraising as needed.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

COMPLIANCE: Keeps excellent records of all parent involvement activities,
reports, surveys, funding, annual program evaluations, and
communications to parents; ensures compliance of the school or districts
parent involvement program with all state and federal guidelines.

SKILLS IN:
1. Preparing clear and concise reports, correspondence and other written
materials.
2. Organizing work, setting priorities, meeting critical deadlines with
minimal supervision.
3. Use of office machines such as computer, printer, scanner,
projector, etc. will be required.
4. Experience in event planning (parties, events, fairs, etc.) for
families.

4. Draft and type correspondence.
5. Deal with problems involving several variables in nonstandard

While performing the essential function of this job, the incumbent is
regularly required to sit; move around the office or work area and lift up
to 20 pounds occasionally.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in a normal office and classroom environment for the most
part. There may be exceptions.

Some travel may be expected.

Working time may require irregular hours. Some evenings and Saturdays may be
required. Hours could range from 15-20 hours per week.

Wage range is from $20.00 – $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.
