Plans Examiner I & II – Building Department

The City of Caldwell has an opening for a Plans Examiner I or a Plans
Examiner II with the Building Department. Plans Examiner I performs
inspections and plan reviews to ensure compliance with the International
Building, Mechanical and Fire codes, ensures compliance with state and
local codes and ordinances; serves as a project leader on the
Development Team; and performs related work as required. Plans Examiner
II Reviews commercial and residential construction plans to ensure
compliance with the International Building and Fire code, State, and
Local codes and ordinances; performs related work as required. Either
must possess good interpersonal skills and have the ability to
communicate with other City employees and the public.Subject to
pre-employment drug screen and background check.
