POSITION: YARD WORKER/GENERAL LABOR/PRECAST PRODUCTION

REPORTS TO: PLANT OPERATIONS AND/OR DISPATCH

SUMMARY

Under general supervision, you will perform a variety of yard related
duties, including cleaning and preventative maintenance activities to
help keep production equipment and the yard in good working condition.
In addition, youll report to the batch plant operator and be in the role
of production teamwork. Youll be responsible for safely loading
materials for concrete batching, maintain stockpile areas, and general
housekeeping of the plant and yard area.

DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to take orders, instructions, and guidance from
supervisors; complete work as assigned by Plant Operations or
Dispatcher.

Must have a valid Idaho issued drivers license and pass drug/alcohol
screening.

Must follow all safety rules, including the wearing of required safety
equipment and clothing.

While performing the duties of this job, you will be regularly required
to talk and listen to instructions; you must be able to effectively
communicate with employees/customers as well as function safely around
heavy rolling equipment.

Familiar with concrete batch plant operations and performing maintenance
of the batch plant.

Maintain stockpile area

Load materials for concrete batching

Perform shovel work and general shop & yard cleanup

Must be at work on time ready to start your shift with proper safety
attire and equipment.

Must be available to work a flexible schedule based on production needs.

Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.

Operate the loader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate
manner.

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure the smooth operation
of the loader.

Keep concrete loading area and Precast Block production area clean and
organized.

Perform regular shovel work and general office, shop & yard cleanup.

Assist in plant repairs.

Assist with precast block production

Inform Plant Operations or Dispatch of material usage throughout the
day.

Report any problems found on equipment to service personnel.

Report any safety hazards and/or incidents to immediate supervisor and
management.

Moderately strenuous work. Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing,
pulling, and climbing to a significant degree.

Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, high noise levels,
and working outdoors.

Using leftover concrete, pour Precast Blocks efficiently; clean up tools
and messes; break down Precast Blocks every morning and throughout the
day, as time permits.

Stay busy throughout the day. If nothing to do, check with Plant
Operations or Dispatch.

Maintain a professional attitude and performance in accordance with
established personnel policies. Considerate, respectful communication
with one another is essential.
