Primary Responsibility :

The VP, Global IT Infrastructure oversees and is responsible for all aspects of the technology infrastructure. The VP Global IT Infrastructure will work with other IT senior leaders globally and regionally to ensure continued steady-state operation of all our key systems. Additionally, the role is responsible for driving priorities, standards, architecture, and partner vendor management globally to ensure that all platforms meet requirements as it relates to robustness, security, reliability, scalability, consistency and cost effectiveness.

The VP Global IT Infrastructure will be matrixed with direct oversight of the global infrastructure team focused on O365, Collaboration, Network Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Compute Strategy and Architecture, and global support for Service Desk, Network – including NOC, Backup Architecture and assurance, and overall infrastructure strategy and roadmaps to ensure that Americold Infrastructure remains current, secure and reliable within the constraints of a REIT capital structure.

The role with be matrixed with the regional infrastructure teams who are primarily focused on day-to-day support and execution of the local infrastructure supporting the business regionally.

What Youll Do :
Drives consistency of design and implementation of global infrastructure standards across regions through planning and collaboration with regional infrastructure teams.
Oversees 3 rd party partner vendor relationships globally, including, but not limited to; Global Service Desk, Global Network Operations Center (NOC), O365 and Microsoft collaboration tools, Firewall, and Backup Services, etc.
Drives global architecture and design of core infrastructure services.
Ability to direct global teams to ensure consistency systems and service delivery across time zones.
Drive the evaluation of technology trends in new hardware and software to identify needs, benefits that meet or exceed the business demands. Including driving the discovery / procurement and implementation of Hardware / Software and other needs globally.
Drive the support / maintenance contracts to ensure that proper protections are in place and contract language is in-line with the business needs.
Coach, direct and guide regional infrastructure teams to improve performance both technically and organizationally.
Evaluate global and regional infrastructure team member performance to create a robust bench and succession plan for global and regional infrastructure leadership.
Act as a core member of the IT leadership team to ensure collaboration, partnership, and accountability.
Driver overall infrastructure financial performance and accountability globally.
Establish and maintain relationships with key internal customer contacts during business and cross functional IT projects.
Strong ITIL and Process view of infrastructure support and execution to bring repeatable, consistent delivery and continuous improvement mindset to the global and regional infrastructure teams.
Ability to swiftly respond to issues and report to senior management and external customer at extreme times and drive incident calls to resolution, under stressful situations at times to ensure proper cross team problem solving is executed in a responsive, efficient and effective manner.

What Experience and Education You Need :
Bachelors Degree in IT, Business Administration, Computer Systems / Science, or related field
Minimum 10 years of experience managing large projects and IT teams
Minimum 10 years of direct infrastructure operations experience
Experience in Negotiating / Procuring / Delivery of hardware / software technologies and platforms
Experience managing a global team with matrixed responsibilities
Prior budget experience as it relates to operating and capital expenses is required

What Could Set You Apart :
MBA or relevant technical masters degree
Experience in supporti g a large remote environment is desired
Experience managing large Infrastructure projects, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing setting, with operational stakeholders and internal customers
Possess a proactive approach with strong customer service orientation
Demonstrates a results-based leadership style with strong impact and influencing skills
Ability to communicate effectively to direct and motivate team and others, maintaining a persuasive and credible presentation style at all levels of the organization
