Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Acquisition Program Managers to join our team. Individuals will participate in a variety of activities related to the management and acquisition of services for Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). The scope of the task involves advising and assisting the requirements review process and the planning, development and execution of the services acquisitions within AFSOC. These acquisitions may involve aircraft and transportation, maintenance, repair and overhaul, facilities and construction, information technology, health care services, management advisory services or other AFSOC projects/programs.

Responsibilities

– Advise and assist with the requirements review process and subsequent services acquisitions

– Interface with various members of the services acquisition community

– Collaborate with multi-functional teams to support the seven-step Services Acquisition process and assist with the development of various contract related documents.

– Provide sound advisory assistance to AFSOC s Series Acqusition Decision Authority.

– Assess and measure programs to determine if they are within guidelines of cost and schedule. Recommend alternative actions as required.

– Assist the Requirements Approval Authority to ensure validated documentation of requirements.

– Demonstrate strong time management skills to meet project deadlines

Skills

-10 years experiencein Project or Program Management, contracting or other acquisition roles in the Department of Defense.

-Certificationas PMP, PfMP, CPCM, CFCM, DAU Services Acquisition Team Member, DAU PM Practitioner, DAU PM Advanced Certificate, or DAU Contracting Professional.Certificate must be submitted.

– CurrentSECRETSecurity Clearance

-Bachelors Degreein Business or Acquisition related area

– Knowledge of principles, policies, and practices of DOD services acquisition and program management

– Excellent communications and technical writing skills

– Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines

– Ability to lead and manage teams effectively
