General Description:
Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs complex equipment and distribution systems involving work of a varied nature with minimum supervision, resulting in efficient operation of plant facilities.
Assists in:
– Installing and rearranging production equipment.
– Identify production equipment failures before they happen, and perform the necessary work avoiding downtime strategically.
– Dismantling, repairing and reassembling production equipment.
– Performing work in mechanical skills area such as fabrication, assembly, welding, burning, cutting, and pipe fitting.
– Performing minor electrical work such as removing and replacing motors, fuses, and cables; installing conduit; and pulling wire.
– Completing routine preventative maintenance tasks.
– Completing work orders.
– Perform pre-op inspections of lines between changeovers to reduce downtime.
– Sanitary Welding.
– Able to read and interprets blueprint, mechanical and electrical schematics and ladder logic.
– Able to handle multiple tasks with capability of prioritizing and planning work activities.
– Complete work orders and paperwork regarding daily activities.
Work Experience Requirements:
– The desired candidate will be familiar with GMPs, and be able to work any shift as we are a 24/7 operation.
– Strong troubleshooting skills in areas of mechanical, electrical, pumps, and manufacturing equipment.
– Must be flexible to accomplish necessary tasks with safety being the first priority.
– Able to perform in a fast-paced team oriented environment.
– Mechanical aptitude and ability.
– Ability to lift 50lbs.
– 4-7 years Maintenance Tech/Mechanical experience.
Education Requirements:
– High school diploma or GED
