Job Responsibilities

Lead, train, and manage a team (directly) of 3 General Foreman and 150 MEM employees (indirectly).

Ensuring that health, safety and environmental standards are aligned with legal requirements as well as Kinross internal standards and MSHA safety regulations.

Apply Maintenance best practices, aligned with the Maintenance Management Model (Kinross Way).

Ensure equipment reliability and alignment with Managements goals and objectives.

Actively participate in setting and meeting maintenance goals at Kinross in line with business objectives.

Manage compliance with the Strategic Maintenance Plan in their areas of responsibility, always focusing on health, safety, environment and morale.

Conduct monthly ESH inspections and treat actions according to established deadlines.

Support Continuous Improvement initiatives and operational efficiency improvements.

Work closely with the Mine Maintenance Planner to schedule equipment repairs and replacement.

Lead interactions with Kinross corporate technical and strategic teams.

Participate in management and strategic meetings with your direct leadership and other members to make important decisions for the business.

Ensure the best asset management in its area of ??responsibility.

Formulate the annual operating and capital budgets for the maintenance function consistent with the established financial guidelines and business planning process.

Oversee the productivity, performance standards, and cost controls of the Mobile Maintenance Department.

Encourage work with improvements focused on productivity gains, cost reduction and equipment operational efficiency gains.

Possess knowledge of all phases of mobile equipment including critical components and change-out hours.
